// This study compared quality of life (QOL) in patients with sporadic vestibular schwannoma managed by microsurgery, radiation, or observation using the Mayo Clinic VSQOL Index. Data from 652 patients showed significant differences in global QOL and specific symptom domains across management strategies after adjusting for relevant factors. Observation was associated with the highest QOL scores, while microsurgery showed lower scores, particularly for hearing problems. These results highlight important QOL differences to inform patient counseling but need validation in prospective studies.
