// This study investigated individual differences in auditory temporal order judgment (TOJ) of two tones, focusing on the role of temporal fine structure (TFS) cues. Through three experiments varying tone frequencies and manipulating TFS cue availability, the results showed that high-level performers (HLP) rely more on TFS cues, especially at lower frequencies and shorter intervals. Mid-level (MLP) and low-level performers (LLP) show reduced use of TFS, with LLP performing poorly overall. The findings suggest that variability in utilizing TFS cues explains differences in TOJ performance.
