// This study investigated factors linked to delayed facial nerve palsy (DFP) after acoustic neuroma surgery in patients with initially normal facial nerve function. Using retrospective cohort data and logistic regression, subtotal tumor resection was identified as an independent predictor of DFP. The majority (75%) of patients with DFP fully recovered facial nerve function within one year. These findings highlight subtotal resection as a key risk factor for delayed facial nerve impairment with a generally favorable recovery prognosis.
