// This study measured Latinx adolescents' critical thinking language, complexity, and productivity when discussing culturally relevant narratives in Spanish, English, and translanguaging conditions. Participants showed greater language complexity and productivity in the translanguaging condition compared to using either language alone. Critical thinking language was similar in translanguaging and English but lower in Spanish-only conditions. The findings highlight the benefits of using translanguaging to support adolescents' linguistic skills and cultural identity.
