Using probes from the Test of Early Grammatical Impairment, researchers found variable performance with over half showing discrepancies between production and judgment abilities. Difficulties were prominent in finiteness marking, especially BE forms, and these differences were unrelated to age or cognitive ability. The results highlight the need to assess both grammatical production and judgment for effective intervention in FXS.
