// This study evaluated whether including moderately thick liquid bolus trials affects DIGEST V2 swallowing severity grading in people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Using videofluoroscopy data from 373 exams and comparing grades with and without these trials, the researchers found excellent agreement between methods. Results showed that including moderately thick liquids did not significantly change DIGEST V2 scores. This suggests DIGEST V2 grading is stable across different bolus protocols in this patient group.
