// This research examined listening comprehension in children with cochlear implants (CIs) compared to typical hearing peers, focusing on narrative and informative texts. Two studies tested Hebrew and Palestinian-Arabic speaking children, finding similar narrative comprehension but poorer informative-text comprehension in CI users. Language skills predicted narrative understanding, while speech perception predicted informative-text comprehension only in typical hearing children. The findings indicate variability in CI users' listening comprehension and highlight the role of language abilities in understanding narratives.
