// This study examined the independent and combined effects of hearing, vision, and frailty progression on cognitive decline over six years in older adults. Using data from 19,378 participants and latent growth curve modeling, it found that declines in hearing and vision predict memory and executive function decline, respectively, with frailty progression exacerbating these effects. Frailty especially moderated the link between sensory loss and executive function, notably in females with higher frailty. The findings suggest targeting frailty in those with sensory decline could support healthier cognitive aging.
