// This study explored the use of an adapted Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) combined with communication training to improve mental health and communication in stroke survivors with aphasia. Through qualitative analysis of interviews from 14 participants, the intervention was found to enhance mood, behavior, and acceptance of aphasia. Key components such as mindfulness, therapeutic alliance, and patient autonomy were important, supporting the theory of psychological flexibility. Overall, the findings support further research into ACT tailored for this population.
