// This study examined whether baseline narrative discourse features predict naming therapy outcomes in 95 chronic stroke survivors with aphasia. Using measures like propositional density and core lexicon from Cinderella story retells, they found that lower baseline propositional density and higher aphasia severity predicted greater naming gains after therapy. Phonological therapy also improved words per minute and reduced phonological errors over time. These findings highlight that discourse variables can uniquely forecast treatment response and that naming therapy can enhance functional language use in narratives.
