// This study evaluated a modified transoral endoscopic vestibular approach for removing pediatric thyroglossal duct cysts, comparing it to the traditional transcervical Sistrunk procedure. The transoral method was safely completed without conversion and showed significantly higher cosmetic satisfaction despite longer surgery time and hospital stay. Transient mental nerve injury occurred in one transoral case but resolved within six months. The findings suggest the transoral approach is feasible and cosmetically superior, though further research with larger samples is needed.
