// This study tested the short-term effects of the Enhanced Milieu Teaching-Sentence Focused (EMT-SF) intervention on vocabulary and grammar in 108 children at risk for developmental language disorder (DLD). Caregivers were coached via telehealth over 18 months, with vocabulary assessed at 36 months and grammar at 42 months. Results showed the intervention significantly improved single-word receptive vocabulary at 36 months and grammar at 42 months compared to controls. However, grammar difficulties remained common at 42 months, highlighting its vulnerability in children at risk for DLD.
