// Normative Data of Healthy Adults on the Test of Masticating and Swallowing Solids (ToMaSS) with Domestic Crackers
// This study established local normative data for masticatory performance using the Test of Mastication and Swallowing Solids (ToMaSS) with Pacific™ Saltine Crackers in healthy Chinese Asians. Researchers measured bites, masticatory cycles, swallows, and ingestion time from 247 participants via video analysis. Results showed age and gender significantly affect these parameters, with males showing less masticatory effort and shorter ingestion times than females. The data offer benchmark values for assessing solid food ingestion and swallowing function in this population.
