// This study aimed to increase naloxone co-prescribing to at least 80% among outpatient opioid patients by using EHR-based automated alerts combined with education for healthcare staff and families at a pediatric hospital. From a baseline of 3.0%, naloxone coverage rose to 84.1%, with 59.1% of prescribed naloxone dispensed despite barriers like stigma and cost. Most providers found naloxone easy to prescribe and felt comfortable offering it. The intervention effectively improved naloxone co-prescribing across a diverse patient population.
