// Development and Validation of Quantitative Greyscale Analyses for the Detection of Aspiration-related Lung Pathophysiology in an Infant Pig Model
// This study developed and validated methods to track lung changes after aspiration using high-speed videofluoroscopic recordings in infant pigs feeding on barium milk. Lung greyscale measurements reliably detected liquid infiltration during feeding and accumulation over days, correlating weakly with aspiration frequency. Results suggest lung damage from aspiration involves additional factors beyond penetration scores. These methods enable future research on the relationship between airway protection and lung health in this model.
