// Increasing Word Learning Efficiency in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children Through Retrieval Practice
// This study tested whether retrieval practice with feedback and spaced trials improves novel word learning in deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children. Thirteen children aged 5-9 completed repeated word learning tasks under conditions varying feedback and spacing, plus a control, over four weeks. Results showed retrieval practice was effective for learning and retaining words, with faster learning when feedback and spacing were used. The study concludes that retrieval practice with feedback and spaced trials enhances word learning efficiency in young DHH children.
