// This study used behavioural theory to develop surveys identifying new barriers and enablers to hearing aid uptake and use. Data from 38 users and 48 non-users revealed five new barriers, including prioritizing other health issues and mistrust of providers, and seven enablers, such as social support and positive beliefs about hearing aids. The findings highlight previously unreported factors that can inform behavioral interventions to improve hearing aid adoption.
