// This study examined audiologists' views on remote programming (RP) for cochlear implants and compared patient satisfaction between initial and follow-up sessions. Using interviews with six audiologists and surveys from 136 CI users, the research identified benefits and challenges of RP from clinicians and found higher satisfaction in follow-up users. Follow-up sessions were rated easier, with greater confidence and willingness to use RP again, while initial activations required hybrid care. The study concludes that RP is effective for follow-ups but needs strong infrastructure, communication, and training for consistent remote care.
