// Cortical tracking of natural speech by children with developmental language disorder (DLD): An EEG speech decoding investigation

// This study investigated low-frequency cortical speech tracking in children with developmental language disorder (DLD) using EEG during story listening. While overall delta and theta band tracking accuracy did not differ between DLD and control groups, children with DLD showed reduced delta-band speech tracking specifically in the right temporal cortex. Phase-amplitude and phase-phase coupling patterns were similar across groups. The findings suggest that in DLD, impairments in temporal sampling of speech are localized rather than widespread, supporting predictions of the TS theory.
