// Mechanistic study of HES1/PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway in cisplatin-induced sensorineural hearing loss
// This study explored how the HES1/PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway contributes to cisplatin-induced damage in auditory cells. Cisplatin increased inflammation and oxidative stress, while knocking down HES1 reduced these harmful effects. Activation of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway was essential for cisplatin toxicity, and its inhibition helped protect cells. The findings suggest that targeting this signaling axis could prevent hearing loss caused by cisplatin.
