// This study examined the link between temporal processing and literacy in children with hearing aids. Using temporal pattern tests and literacy assessments, the research found that children with hearing aids performed worse than their hearing peers in temporal processing and writing skills. Temporal processing skills were positively correlated with reading and writing abilities and were influenced by earlier amplification and longer auditory rehabilitation. The findings suggest that early hearing aid use and consistent rehabilitation may improve temporal processing and literacy outcomes.
