// This study tested a combined intervention of acupuncture and computer-assisted cognitive rehabilitation (ACR) plus standard speech therapy against speech therapy alone in poststroke aphasia (PSA) patients. Eighty PSA patients were randomly assigned and treated over 12 weeks, with language and cognitive outcomes measured by WAB-R and NLCA scales. The ACR group showed significantly greater improvements in language abilities and nonverbal cognitive function at 4 and 12 weeks compared to controls. This multimodal approach offers a promising, effective treatment for improving both language and cognitive deficits in PSA.
