Using qualitative focus groups with Swedish audiologists, it found that clinicians emphasize individualizing knowledge transfer and skill development, while patient participation is valued but complex. Self-efficacy and control are recognized but less integrated into practice. The research concludes that empowerment requires shared reflection and a flexible, person-centered approach tailored to each patient's needs.
