// This study compared real-world music listening patterns and reward sensitivity between adult cochlear implant (CI) users and normal-hearing (NH) listeners using streaming platform data and self-reports. CI users showed a higher diversity of songs listened to and a preference for older music, but no differences in listening time, volume, audio features, or overall music reward sensitivity. No differences were found between prelingually and postlingually deafened CI users. The results emphasize the importance of using real-world data to understand music experiences in CI users.
