// This study evaluated a structured theory of mind intervention for Persian-speaking children aged 5-7 with hearing impairments using cochlear implants (CIs) or hearing aids (HAs). In a randomized controlled trial, the 8-week program significantly improved theory of mind skills and mental verb comprehension, especially in children with CIs. While mean length of utterance increased, no significant group differences were found, and some treatment gains lessened after one month. The findings suggest targeted intervention effectively enhances social-cognitive skills but may require ongoing support for lasting language improvements.
