// Swallowing dysfunction and quality of life in children with tonsillar hypertrophy and sleep-disordered breathing: A prospective cohort study
// This study evaluated swallowing-related quality of life in children with tonsillar hypertrophy and sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) using the Pediatric SWAL-QOL questionnaire. Children with tonsillar hypertrophy had significantly worse swallowing function than controls, which improved markedly after surgery. Dysphagia severity was linked to airway obstruction rather than tonsil size. The Arabic version of the SWAL-QOL questionnaire was validated as a reliable assessment tool.
