// Predictive Validity of Hypothesized Risk Factors for Superior Canal Dehiscence Syndrome
// This study retrospectively assessed comorbid conditions as risk factors for superior canal dehiscence syndrome (SCDS) in 152 patients versus 438 controls. Using multivariate logistic regression, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) was identified as a significant positive predictor of SCDS, while a body mass index (BMI) over 25 was a negative predictor. Other evaluated comorbidities showed no significant association. The findings suggest that OSA may influence previously reported relationships between elevated BMI and SCDS.
