// This study evaluated intact bridge mastoidectomy (IBM) compared to intact canal wall (ICW) and open cavity (OC) mastoidectomy in 322 adults with chronic otitis media. Postoperative hearing improved significantly in both ICW and IBM groups, with IBM outcomes between ICW and OC, while TM graft success rates were similarly high across all. IBM is effective for challenging cases, balancing anatomical preservation and hearing restoration. It offers a reliable, single-step surgery for infection control, hearing improvement, and graft stability.
