// This study examined pitch synchrony in natural Mandarin caregiver-child interactions among autistic, developmentally delayed, and typically developing children using multi-timescale analysis of fundamental frequency. Autistic children showed significantly reduced static prosodic synchrony at turn, block, and conversation levels compared to typically developing peers. Dynamic synchrony was infrequent, but autistic and developmentally delayed groups displayed distinct temporal trajectory patterns and greater variability. Findings suggest turn-level synchrony as a potential early screening marker and dynamic variability for characterizing and tracking interventions.
