// This study examined how child communication and caregiver language strategies influence each other before an intervention. Researchers analyzed interactions between 105 caregiver-child dyads, focusing on caregiver strategies and child communication at around 30 months old. Results showed that children's communication characteristics shaped caregiver strategies, which in turn increased children's use of shared vocabulary. These findings support a reciprocal, transactional view of language development between caregivers and children.
