// This study investigated hearing accessibility and staff knowledge in 74 German long-term care facilities, focusing on structural conditions and training needs. Mixed methods showed most facilities lacked acoustic accessibility and staff had limited hearing-related skills before the intervention. After a preventive training program, awareness and practices improved moderately, but sustainable structural changes remained challenging. The findings suggest that enhancing hearing accessibility requires both improved acoustics and staff training.
