// Lifetime Noise Exposure and Its Interaction With Ageing: Effects on Audiometric Thresholds, Speech-In-Noise Perception, and Tinnitus for Palestinian Workers
// This study examined how lifetime noise exposure and age affect hearing in Palestinian workers using audiometry and speech-in-noise tests. Results showed age was the main factor linked to hearing loss and speech difficulties, with noise exposure worsening standard audiometric thresholds mainly in adults aged 44 and older. No significant combined effects of age and noise were found on extended high-frequency hearing, speech-in-noise, or tinnitus. The findings suggest aging is the dominant influence on hearing loss, but noise control remains important, especially for older adults.
