// Transmission of Binaural Cues by Bilateral Cochlear Implants: A Comparison of Spectral Peak-Picking and Interleaved Stimulation Strategies
// This study compared binaural cues from two cochlear implant (CI) stimulation strategies to understand their impact on spatial hearing. Using CI processors on a manikin with sound stimuli, the researchers measured interaural time and level differences. The spectral peak-picking strategy produced more variable and less consistent binaural cues than the constant stimulation strategy, potentially limiting sound localization. The results suggest bilateral coordination in CI processing is critical to improve spatial hearing.
