// This study examined how speech compression algorithms affect acoustic and perceptual features of dysarthric speech in telepractice. Speech samples from individuals with dysarthria were processed under different compression conditions and evaluated acoustically and perceptually by speech-language pathologists (SLPs). Narrowband compression degraded acoustic quality and transcription accuracy, but SLPs' perceptual ratings of voice and articulation remained stable. The findings highlight the need to consider compression effects in remote dysarthria assessment and to develop optimized telepractice protocols.
