// This study developed a standardized method for filtering musical sounds to use in hearing tests and compared hearing thresholds using these filtered musical sounds versus warble tones. Thirty normal-hearing adults were tested at three frequencies, showing small differences between musical sounds and warble tones, with similar variability to that seen between pure tones and warble tones. The results suggest that filtered musical sounds could be viable for hearing assessments. Further research is needed to test other populations and filter bandwidths.
