// Altered Neural Oscillations and Hemispheric Asymmetry in Single-Sided Deafness
// This study examined resting-state EEG differences in patients with left or right single-sided deafness (SSD) versus normal hearing. Both SSD groups showed increased γ1 power, but right SSD also had widespread increases in θ and β bands and stronger right-hemisphere dominance in low frequencies. Left SSD showed more localized changes without significant hemispheric asymmetry. These results suggest side-specific cortical reorganization, indicating different neural compensation patterns that could inform tailored rehabilitation.
