// This study systematically reviewed and meta-analyzed quality of life (QoL) in children with cochlear implants (CIs) using PedsQL and KINDL questionnaires from both children’s and parents’ perspectives. It compared QoL in children with CIs to those with hearing aids and normal hearing, analyzing 10 eligible studies with 1,194 participants. Results showed children with CIs had significantly lower QoL, particularly in social and school functioning, compared to peers with normal hearing, though some had comparable QoL. The findings highlight the need for long-term follow-up and personalized support to improve social integration and academic outcomes in children with CIs.
