// Novel Proactive Speech-Language Intervention Is More Effective Than Usual Care: Randomized Controlled Trial of Babble Boot Camp for Infants With Classic Galactosemia

本研究開發並測試Babble Boot Camp (BBC)，一種於6個月前介入經典乳糖血症嬰兒的語言障礙預防計畫｜兩組不同起始年齡接受每週遠距教練輔導，效果優於一般照護，尤其6個月內介入能使語言發展正常化｜結果支持儘早預防策略，並揭示BBC對其他發展障礙的應用潛力。

// This study developed and tested Babble Boot Camp (BBC), a proactive intervention for preventing speech and language disorders starting before 6 months of age in infants with classic galactosemia. Two groups received BBC starting at different ages, with weekly telehealth coaching for caregivers, and were compared to usual care and typical peers. Results showed BBC was more effective than usual care, especially when started by 6 months, normalizing speech and language outcomes. The findings support shifting to early preventive approaches and suggest BBC’s potential for other developmental disorders.
