// This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effectiveness of Premature Infant Oral Motor Intervention on feeding outcomes in preterm infants. Analysis of 14 randomized controlled trials showed the intervention significantly reduced transition time to full oral feeding and hospital stay length. Effects on weight and milk transfer rate were inconsistent, with greater benefits seen in infants with higher gestational age and more frequent intervention. The evidence was moderate for feeding transition time but limited for other outcomes, indicating a need for further high-quality research.
