// This systematic review evaluated non-imaging screening tools for detecting vestibular schwannoma in adults with asymmetric sensorineural hearing loss. Pure tone audiometry was the most studied method, showing a trade-off between sensitivity and specificity, while auditory brainstem response had high sensitivity but missed small tumors. No test consistently achieved both high sensitivity and specificity, with audiometric screening remaining the preferred initial approach. Prospective studies are needed to improve screening accuracy and reduce unnecessary MRI scans.
