// This study established normative data and assessed test-retest variability of 4 kHz pure-tone psychoacoustic tuning curves (PTCs) using a standard two-channel clinical audiometer. Thirty-four normal-hearing adults completed two sessions, showing high reliability with ~80% having ≤8 dB variability. Results indicated that variability increased and frequency selectivity (Q10) decreased with age, with tuning curves displaying a typical V-shaped pattern. The protocol is clinically feasible for evaluating auditory frequency selectivity and age-related changes.
