// The Influence of Physical Activity and Functional Capacity on Frailty and Dysphagia in Community-Dwelling Older Adults
// This study examined the link between frailty and dysphagia in older adults using objective swallowing assessments and self-reports. Frailty was significantly related to self-reported swallowing difficulties (EAT-10 scores) but not to objective swallowing impairment (DIGEST scores). The association was strong only in individuals with low physical activity levels, independent of functional capacity. The findings suggest screening frail elders for dysphagia and considering physical activity interventions in swallowing care.
