Five dyads completed twice-daily surveys over one week, reporting on communication modality use, with high survey completion rates but mixed acceptability among participants with PPA. Participants used unaided communication methods most often, and thematic analysis identified key themes in multimodal communication. Results suggest ESM is feasible and promising for characterizing daily communication in PPA, though cognitive impairments may reduce acceptability in some individuals.
