約旦阿拉伯語諷誦障礙兒童的語音覺察:雙語文現象的角色

// Phonological Awareness of Dyslexic Jordanian Arabic-Speaking Children: The Role of Diglossia

// This study investigated how diglossia affects phonological awareness in dyslexic Jordanian Arabic-speaking children using deletion, segmentation, and reading tasks in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and Colloquial Arabic (CA). Researchers tested 40 dyslexic and 40 typically developing children, finding better performance in MSA for both groups, with dyslexic children struggling more, especially with deletion tasks. Results suggest phonological interventions should focus on improving skills in the weaker variety (CA) to ease dialectal challenges and support skill transfer between CA and MSA. These findings offer practical guidance for creating dialect-sensitive support for dyslexic learners in Arabic diglossic contexts.
