// Relationships between ECAP amplitude growth functions and perceptual growth in cochlear implant users: Implications for individualized cochlear implant fitting
// This study investigated whether the electrically evoked compound action potential (ECAP) amplitude growth function (AGF) can predict loudness growth in cochlear implant users. Using ECAP and psychophysical loudness data from 16 users at various stimulation rates, a power-law model was fitted to relate ECAP amplitude to perceived loudness. Results showed loudness growth depends on stimulation rate, with the model accurately predicting loudness (66% of fits R²>0.8). This demonstrates ECAP AGFs can objectively estimate loudness growth, aiding personalized cochlear implant fittings.
