// Transcranial magnetic stimulation disrupts the inhibitory role of the right inferior frontal gyrus in bilingual language control
// This study investigated the role of the right inferior frontal gyrus (RIFG) in bilingual language switching using combined TMS and fMRI. Continuous theta-burst stimulation (cTBS) to the RIFG reduced asymmetric switching costs in brain activation, unlike intermittent stimulation or sham. These neural changes suggest RIFG disruption affects control mechanisms, though no behavioral changes were observed. This work provides novel neural evidence for the RIFG's causal involvement in bilingual language control.
