// This study evaluated hearing dysfunction in children with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) using DP-OAE and ABR tests. Among 21 children, 9.52% showed subclinical cochlear dysfunction, predominantly in those in remission with multiple relapses and high cumulative corticosteroid exposure. Hearing issues were not detected by routine exams, indicating cochlear damage linked to disease status and steroid dose. The authors recommend adding objective hearing screening to routine INS follow-up to identify hidden auditory impairment.
