// This systematic review and meta-analysis examined the efficacy and safety of nasal saline irrigation (NSI) in children and adolescents with allergic rhinitis. Analysis of seven controlled trials showed that NSI significantly reduced nasal symptoms and rescue antihistamine use, with minor and infrequent adverse effects. However, evidence quality was low to very low, and improvement in overall disease control was not statistically significant. NSI appears to be a safe and effective adjunctive treatment but requires confirmation through higher-quality studies.
