// This study analyzed 763 tinnitus patients in Bogotá, Colombia, using clinical, demographic, and self-report data to characterize tinnitus and factors linked to discomfort. The most common tinnitus was nonpulsatile, constant, bilateral, and sudden-onset, mainly affecting sleep and concentration, with noise exposure and stress increasing discomfort. Higher distress was found in women, those outside Bogotá, and individuals with migraine, stress, anxiety, or depression, with discomfort correlating to symptom duration and activity impact. The results improve understanding of Colombian tinnitus patients and highlight the need for personalized treatment and further research.
