// This study investigated perfectionism traits in 40 pediatric patients with Vocal Cord Dyskinesia (VCD) using the Child and Adolescent Perfectionism Scale. Results showed that over half had elevated self-oriented perfectionism, which was linked to diagnostic delays and reduced emergency room visits. The findings suggest that assessing perfectionism can help tailor treatments by addressing internal cognitive factors alongside external stressors. This approach may improve long-term outcomes for youth with VCD.
